Artist Chris Friend has been publishing in the small press horror fanzines for roughly 25 years. He has had articles published in Deathrealm, Stygian Articles, Space and Time, Dreams and Nightmares, and many others. He also published an online horror newsletter through Black Petals (both as a print and online magazine) which can be sampled on www.blackpetals.net under Mars newsletter. Friend sites influences ranging from HR Geiger to Allen Koszowski. He lives in Parkersburg, West Virginia, considered the Ohio Valley's most haunted city. At 49, he see's no retiring from publishing in the small press.
