Gordon ClemmonsGordon Clemmons is co-Director of Being Wicked, Ltd., a design and development studio that specializes in the publishing industry.  He is a life-long fan of speculative horror, both in literature and in film.  In 2008 he decided to combine his passions for editing, online development, and literature to create ShadeWorks.  Gordon lives with his wife in Oxford, UK.

Dr. Bill Thierfelder

Fiction Editor

Bill ThierfelderDr. Bill Thierfelder is Professor of English, Arts, and Humanities at Dowling College, Long Island.  As an academic, Thierfelder has been teaching for over thirty-five years a variety of subjects—from traditional survey courses in American and British literature to science fiction, from African American studies to gay and lesbian culture, from the AIDS Pandemic to opera history.  He has also lectured in Long Island libraries for years on many cultural and social topics.   As an author, he has written scholarly articles, short fiction, and poetry. Recent work has appeared in ShadeWorks, Aphelion, Wild Violet, Petroglyph, Locus, The Explicator, and American Poets and Poetry. He is currently the Fiction Editor for the webzine ShadeWorks and writes a regular column for Outlook Long Island Magazine. His art has appeared in both Long Island and New York galleries.  He also devotes time to philanthropic and social causes including Long Island Gay and Lesbian Youth, Gay Men’s Health Crisis, and Momentum AIDS Project (all located in the New York metropolitan area).  He started a scholarship at Dowling College for gay and lesbian students in 2006.  Hiking, cycling, meditation, yoga, cooking, gardening, astronomy, and oceanography are just some of his many interests.
